The M163 Vulcan is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun of US origin. Also known as the Vulcan Air Defense System (VADS), it was developed to replace the M42 Duster in US service. The M163 was complemented by the Chaparral self-propelled surface to air missile system in US service. The M163 packs powerful armament that is only of limited use against aircraft due to the lack of automated fire control.
The Mi-24P is similar to the Mi-24V but differs in cannon armament. Whereas the Mi-24V is armed with a 12.7mm Yak-B minigun in a nose turret the Mi-24P has a twin barrel 30mm GSh-30K autocannon alongside the cockpit. The GSh-30K is much more powerful but not as simple to aim as the Yak-B. The P in the designation stands for "Pushka", which is Russian for cannon. Mi-24P Hind-F: The original Soviet army version of the Hind-F. Mi-35P Hind-F: The export version of the Hind-F.
The ZBD04A is a modern mechanized infantry combat vehicle of Chinese origin. The ZBD04A is the successor of the ZBD04 and trades in its amphibious capability for an increased protection level. Some sources use the name ZBD08 for this vehicle, but apparently that designation is not used by the PLA.
The Project 1144 Orlan is a late Cold War era class of cruiser of Soviet origin. The name Kirov is the Western designation for the Project 1144 Orlan (Sea Eagle). This is the largest class of missile cruiser ever developed. This was due to ever increasing demands for armament and sensors for all domains: surface warfare, aera air defense and anti-submarine warfare. In Russia this type of ship is referred to as a heavy nuclear powered missile cruiser. Due to its size and displacement the Project 1144 class is sometimes referred to as a battlecruiser.
