List of PGM 338 barrel options
PGM 338 - Commando 69
Standard production model and the only variant upon introduction. This has a 69 cm fluted barrel. Like many early .338 rifles this was produced with a 305 mm (12 inch) twist rate. Later a 254 mm (10 inch) twist rate was introduced.
PGM 338 - Commando 60
More compact variant of the PGM 338 fitted with a 60 cm fluted barrel.
PGM 338 - Intervention
Variant with heavy barrel profile with many ribs that improve heat dispersion. This was introduced about a decade after the first introduction of the PGM 338.
