The BREM-L is a modern armored recovery vehicle of Russian origin. It was developed in the early 1990's to support the new BMP-3 mechanized infantry combat vehicle and is based on the same chassis. On the front left a crane is fitted that can be used for recovery and replacing powerpacks. A dozer blade on the hull front doubles as an earth anchor for the 15 t winch. Various tools and parts are carried to repair and recovery work.
The BREM-L is based on the chassis of the BMP-3 mechanized infantry combat vehicle and shares many automotive components.
