System composition

AK-630M turret

The AK-630M is a small unmanned turret housing a single AO-18 six barrel 30mm autocannon. 2.000 rounds are stowed below deck and are ready to fire. The Chinese H/PJ13 uses a more angular housing in order to reduce radar cross section. Internally the H/PJ13 is practically identical to the AK-630M.

MR-123 Vympel fire control radar

The MR-123 radar is the visible element of the A-219 Vympel-A fire control system. The MR-123 has the NATO reporting name "Bass Tilt" and can control up to two AK-630M close-in weapon systems. The system is controlled by a single operator using a console located in the ship's command center.
