Description

The AML-S530 is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun of French origin. It is a variant of the AML series of reconnaissance vehicles, and uses the same chassis. The S530 turret mounts two 20mm M621 autocannon and allows for a high angle of elevation.

The AML-S530 has been produced only in small quantities. The AML-S530 is not that expensive and simple to operate. However, the effectiveness against jet aircraft and attack helicopters is limited.
