Variants


PRV-16

Early production model. Both radar and generator are trailer mounted and towed by truck. Based on lessons learned production switched to PRV-16A and B.

PRV-16A

Improved PRV-16. Radar mounted KrAZ-214 or KrAZ-255 truck. Power is supplied by separate towed generator. GRAU index 1RL132A.

PRB-16B

Final and most common model. PRV-16B is an integrated truck mounted variant based on KrAZ-255B1 chassis. Designed to cooperate with the mobile P-40 radar, which also serves as external power supply. External generator units are only used for prolonged static use. GRAU index 1RL132B.

KrAZ-255

The KrAZ-255 is a heavy 6x6 truck that serves as the chassis for the PRV-16B. It is also used with late model PRV-16A systems.
